I have a few game systems and I tend to build my collection mainly around gathering all games that scored 80+ on Metacritic. That is how I came across Half Life 2 (via The Orange Box) on PS3. After a deep-into-the-night-play session I have some questions/thoughts. Be interested to hear any of your thoughts! This game still holds up I think.
As of Half life 2, I don't think the game looks that bad at all. Don't expect Cod MW or some other new game levels of visual fidelity, but it's more than fine. And is 100% worth it.

Yes, it is definitely worth playing. Fun gameplay and a comprehensive story told entirely without cutscenes (which is rare even today). You should also pick up the first Portal.

Fantastic game. Half-Life 1 is probably pretty janky to play these days - Black Mesa might be a better shot (not tried it myself). Half-Life 2 and it's episodes are still fantastic today though.
